“You Are Enough”
To you.
Yes, you—
The one who wakes up each morning with a heart that still beats,
Despite the weight it carries.
The one who tries, and tries, and tries again,
Even when the world turns its back.
The one who gives, even when no one gives back.
This is for you.
For the fire inside you,
For the battles you have fought alone,
For the love you have poured into a world that often does not return it.
For the moments you wanted to give up—
But didn’t.
I see you.
I see you when you wake up with tired eyes,
When the day feels too heavy before it even begins,
Yet you pull yourself up,
Because you have things to do, people to care for, dreams to chase.
No one thanks you for this.
No one applauds the effort it takes just to exist some days.
But still, you keep going.
I see you when you give your all—
To your work, to your passion, to the people you love—
And still, they say, “It’s not enough.”
Still, they make you feel like you are falling short,
Like no matter how much you give, they will always want more.
They do not see the quiet sacrifices, the silent struggles,
The nights you spend worrying, planning, hoping—
Just for them.
And I know.
I know how much it hurts when your best is still not enough.
I know how it feels to be overlooked, unseen, unheard—
To be told that you should be doing more,
When you have already given everything you have.
But listen to me.
You are enough.
Not because of what you do,
Not because of what you achieve,
Not because of what you can give to others—
But because of who you are.
Because you are trying.
Because you are here.
Because despite everything, you have not given up on yourself.
You are not lazy.
You are not failing.
You are not too much, or too little.
You are not behind.
You are not broken.
You are human.
And being human is enough.
The world will try to convince you otherwise.
They will measure your worth in numbers, in achievements, in how much you can give them.
They will make you feel like you are only as good as what you can offer,
And the moment you have nothing left to give, they will turn away.
But they are wrong.
Your worth is not measured by productivity.
It is not determined by success.
It is not something that can be weighed or counted.
Your worth is in the way you love.
In the kindness you show, even when no one is watching.
In the strength you carry, even when no one acknowledges it.
In the dreams you hold onto, even when they tell you they are impossible.
You are enough.
Even on the days you feel like you aren’t.
Even on the days you feel like you are falling apart.
Even when the voices in your head whisper that you will never be good enough—
You are.
You always have been.
You always will be.
And if today, no one tells you this—
If today, no one looks at you and says, “I see you. I appreciate you. I love you.”
Then let me be that voice.
I see you.
I see the effort, the pain, the silent battles.
I see the heart you put into everything.
I see the way you keep going, despite it all.
And I appreciate you.
I appreciate the way you love, the way you try, the way you show up.
I appreciate the strength it takes to be you.
And I love you.
Not for what you do.
Not for what you can give.
Not for who the world expects you to be.
I love you simply because you exist.
Because this world is better with you in it.
So tonight, when you lie in bed and the weight of the world feels unbearable—
When you wonder if you are doing enough, if you are good enough, if you matter—
Let these words be your reminder.
You are enough.
You have always been enough.
You will always be enough.
No matter what they say.
No matter what you tell yourself.
You are enough.
And that is all you ever need to be.
Why I Wrote This & What Inspired Me
I wrote this for the ones who feel unseen, unheard, and unappreciated—the ones who give their all yet are told it’s not enough. I’ve seen people pour their hearts into their work, their dreams, and their relationships, only to be met with indifference. I’ve felt the weight of trying so hard yet still being misunderstood.
This poem is for those who are struggling in silence, who question their worth because the world fails to acknowledge them. I wanted to create something that would speak to their hearts, something they could read and feel like someone finally understands.
I was inspired by the quiet warriors—the ones who wake up every day and keep pushing forward despite their exhaustion. The ones who love deeply, who work tirelessly, who dream fearlessly, even when no one notices.
If you’ve ever felt like your best isn’t enough, if you’ve ever questioned your worth because of what others say—this is my love letter to you. You are enough. You always have been. And I hope this reminds you of that.
